LYNN, Mass. — Catholic Memorial is headed to the big dance.
The No. 5 Knights cruised to a 6-1 win over No. 8 Cambridge in the MIAA Division 1 semifinals at Fraser Field on Tuesday.
Junior right-hander Jacoby Hogencamp tossed a complete-game three-hitter with seven strikeouts, one walk and one unearned run. Junior outfielder Liam McKinney (three RBIs) and senior third baseman Richie Curran (one) each had two hits apiece for CM (16-8).
Senior right-hander Stef Alexandro drove in the Falcons' (19-2) lone run. He also started on the mound, going 4⅔ innings with four strikeouts, surrendering five earned runs on five hits and four walks.
