It is prime recruiting season for the more than 250 D2 college programs. That includes the 10 schools in New England's premier conference, the Northeast-10.
D2 college programs have a maximum of nine athletic scholarships to split among rosters of 30-plus players. However, D2 programs can also offer academic aid and merit scholarships "stacked" with partial athletic money.
With the increased recruitment of athletes through the NCAA transfer portal, the level of play at the D2 level has increased over the last five years.
Here's a look at six New England prospects who committed to D2 programs this summer.
