It's been difficult to keep up with the surge of college commitments among New England prospects in August. Seventy Class of 2027 prospects have committed to college programs since the start of the month, including 28 to Division 1 schools.
While the NCAA permitted D1 college coaches to begin recruiting incoming juniors (Class of 2028) on Aug. 1, many of New England's Division 1 coaches continue to firm up their Class of 2027 commitments.
New England D1 coaches have used the summer travel ball season to scout incoming seniors, except for BC, the only New England program in a Power Four Conference. BC is the only New England D1 program with a single commitment in the Class of 2028, and the Eagles have three.
