It's been a busy recruiting period around the Aug. 1 deadline, but maybe not for the reason you'd expect.
While college coaches can now turn their attention to making offers for prospects in the Class of 2028, most of the New England schools are still firming up the incoming recruiting class of 2027. In large part, the D1 commitments are coming from incoming seniors (Class of 2027).
However, we do have New England's first college commitment for a prospect in the Class of 2028. That name is revealed at the top of the list below.
