Just like that, another thrilling Rhode Island Interscholastic League (RIIL) season is in the books.
This year saw two dynasties continue their winning ways in Div. I and Div. III, as Bishop Hendricken and Woonsocket cruised to state titles.
The Div. II championship series came down to a winner-take-all meeting on June 10 at Rhode Island College, and East Greenwich gutted out a one-run win.
For the last time this season, let’s highlight the top teams in the Ocean State, with extra focus on the state champs.
