Team Massachusetts came out on the right side of another must-win game at the High School Baseball National Championship Series in Omaha, Neb., on Friday, posting a 10-2 victory over Utah.
The victory pushed Team Massachusetts’ record to 2-1 in group play. The All-Star team's fate will be decided by a tie-breaker once the group play stage is completed later on Friday. The tie-breaker will be determined by runs allowed throughout the tournament. Massachusetts figures to be in a strong position after allowing eight total runs in three games.
Team Massachusetts is comprised of 17 of the state’s top high school prospects. Sixteen of the players are Class of 2027 graduates, and one is in the Class of 2028.
