It's been an eventful start to the prep season, with a midstream coaching change for a top-10 program, a two-game losing streak for the most recent No. 1 program, and a handful of other head-scratching results.
We noted before the season that there has never been more talent at the prep level, due to changes in the recruiting landscape. More college coaches are recruiting through the transfer portal, resulting in more enrollment and deeper rosters at the prep level.
As a result, we're seeing more upsets of teams loaded with D1 talent. We'll touch on some of those trends and identify teams and players on the rise.
Here's our weekly Prep Watch with five teams and 25 players on the rise.
