The pace of college commitments has slowed in the last week. It may be because D1 college coaches are shifting their focus to their own fall seasons. It may be because coaches are waiting for the high-profile Perfect Game WWBA events in October to extend more offers.
Either way, we have nine new commitments for high school prospects in the Class of 2026 to share from the last week. It is the first time since early August that the number of commitments decreased from the previous week.
Whether it’s through prep/high school or the travel ranks, New Englanders are routinely bound for some of the nation’s top college baseball programs. Many stay within the region, but the point remains: The college baseball ranks – across all three divisions – are chock-full of local players. To get insight into what’s coming, we have a running database of all college-bound players from New England. Players, parents and coaches are welcome to submit updates.
