WORCESTER, Mass. — Seekonk needed some magic, and then they needed a little more.
With the game-tying run at third and one out in the bottom of the seventh, Austin Robinson came through.
The senior first baseman nabbed Owen Waddell's pop-up bunt and quickly fired to third, where Avian DaRosa reached to tag out Cormac Heney as the No. 7 Warriors held on for a 4-3 comeback win over No. 1 Hamilton-Wenham for the MIAA Division 4 state title.
That Seekonk was still alive in the first place was a result of Brayden McBride's two-out magic. Down to his last gasp in an 0-2 count in the top of the seventh, McBride roped a bases-clearing double down the third-base line to make it 4-3.
The win marked the Warriors' third title in four seasons (2023 and 2024), as they finished 18-7.
Here's a full recap of the thriller, as well as seven standouts.
