While the New England prep season just wrapped up last week and high school programs will soon reach postseason tournament time, it’s never too early to think about summer.
The Futures League kicks off a busy slate of summer collegiate baseball around the region on Wednesday. Now and throughout the season, top rising freshmen will get a taste of the next level of baseball as they compete in the circuit.
Six of the seven league franchises currently feature graduating talent from New England high schools on their rosters, with the majority holding Division 1 commitments.
Our full Futures League preview is soon to come, but here is a list of the risers who hail from and/or will begin their college careers in the region starting in the fall. Given that most high school schedules are still ongoing, not all of these players are currently on the active roster and will report for the summer after their scholastic seasons conclude.
