After two months of baseball in Connecticut, the top half of our CIAC rankings finish almost exactly where they started. The same group of five teams that led our preseason Top 10 lead our final Top 10, and in nearly the exact same order — only No. 1 Lyman Hall and No. 3 Fairfield-Warde traded positions.
The bottom half of our CIAC rankings, however? That looks very different. Our final Top 10 features two teams that weren’t in our preseason rankings.
That speaks to one of the themes of the Connecticut baseball season — the top teams in the state separated themselves early and never looked back at the chaos behind them.
