There has been a shakeup in the Maine Principals’ Association (MPA) baseball landscape.
As we predicted, new teams have emerged as we stand at the halfway mark of the season, and our rankings have accounted for a handful of breakout teams that have jumped to the top of their respective divisions.
Whether it is a team like Gorham — which slid into the top 5 in its debut in the rankings — or favorites like Mt. Ararat, Bangor or Oxford Hills — not one team held its ground from our last top 10.
There is still a bevy of uncertainty surrounding which squad is the consensus team to beat. But one thing is for certain: the landscape is wide open. Let’s dive in.
