Canterbury School ended Salisbury's three-year run as WNEPBL champion last spring with its first league title in school history.
Canterbury, Cheshire, and Salisbury have been the class of the WNEPBL in recent seasons, and that proved to be the case again in 2026. All three schools clinched tournament berths before the final week of the regular season, and the fourth spot in the WNEPBL Tournament came down to a play-in game between Pomfret and Suffield on Friday, May 15.
