Many of New England's top prospects train and compete with travel ball programs between the months of June and March. Those same prospects then take a break from travel ball during the spring season.
The winter season is a great time for high school prospects to make gains -- whether the metric is velocity, spin rate, strength, power, or speed.
Before we shift to the high school and prep seasons, we contacted New England travel ball coaches to see which prospects made the most significant gains this winter.
