Eighteen of the top Massachusetts prospects will represent the state in the 2026 High School Baseball National Championship Series, which will double to 24 teams this July 1-5 at Charles Schwab Field, home of the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
The Team Massachusetts roster is currently comprised of 16 high school players in the Class of 2027 and two in the Class of 2028. The staff of coaches includes Braintree’s Bill O’Connell, BC High’s Steve Healy, Walpole’s Chris Costello, and Bridgewater-Raynham’s Cam Fox.
ESPN will broadcast the entire tournament. The Team USA coaching staff will be on hand to evaluate players. Last year, six participants in the National Championship Series were selected for the U.S. Developmental Team.
