Four MIAA coaches selected 18 Massachusetts prospects to represent the state in the 2026 High School Baseball National Championship Series this summer in Omaha, Neb. The tournament will double in size this year with 24 states fielding teams from July 1 to 5 at Charles Schwab Field, home of the NCAA College World Series.
The Team Massachusetts roster is currently comprised of 16 high school players in the Class of 2027 and two in the Class of 2028. The staff of coaches, which includes Braintree's Bill O'Connell, BC High's Steve Healy, Walpole's Chris Costello, and Bridgewater-Raynham's Cam Fox, will add two more players to the roster this spring.
ESPN will broadcast the entire tournament. The Team USA coaching staff will be on hand to evaluate players. Last year, six participants in the National Championship Series were selected for the U.S. Developmental Team.
