Team Massachusetts posted its lone win of the weekend on Sunday at the Stinger Sports National Championship Series in Omaha, Neb., finishing with a 1-3 record over the three-day event.
The Massachusetts high school all-star team concluded the tourney with a 6-4 victory over Team Nebraska. The lone New England representative was competitive all weekend; two of the three losses were by one run.
Team Massachusetts was one of 12 statewide All-Star teams vying for a national title. The other states included Arizona, Hawaii, Kansas, Nebraska, Florida, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, California, Georgia, and Louisiana. The Massachusetts team was comprised of 15 players in the Class of 2026, two players in the Class of 2027, and one in the Class of 2028.
Team Massachusetts fell to California, 5-2, on Friday. The Bay State squad then lost two one-run games on Saturday -- a 7-6 setback against Louisiana, and a 5-4 defeat against Georgia. Here are 10 standouts from the weekend for Team Massachusetts.
