Regular-season play was nearly complete across the region as votes were cast for the latest installment of New England Baseball Journal’s Prep School Coaches Poll on Monday.
Little has changed as playoff action nears, with only a pair of Connecticut-based teams receiving more than two first-place votes. While one team fell from its top-10 spot as compared to a week ago, a second independent made its return to the rankings for the first time since the early going of the spring.
After a busy week in which several teams’ schedules included at least three games, the top-10 is made up entirely of teams with 12 or more victories. The WNEPBL, CNEPBL and ISL are represented with multiple teams apiece.
NEBJ’s Prep School Coaches Poll is voted upon by coaches throughout New England and will be released each Tuesday during the 2025 season, with results through games of the previous Sunday. Coaches interested in participating in the voting should email jkummins@baseballjournal.com for more information.
