Former Phillips Exeter assistant Mike Hicks has accepted the school's head coaching position heading into the 2026-27 school year.
Hicks served as an assistant under former head coach Tim Mitropolous for the last two seasons. Hicks is the founder of R3VAMP Performance Center, which specializes in student-athlete development, performance enhancement, and sports psychology.
Mitropolous served as the head coach since 2020, when he took over for legendary Exeter coach Dana Barbin following the team's last CNEPSBL championship in 2019. Exeter typically finished behind Worcester Academy, Deerfield, Phillips Andover, and Dexter Southfield in the CNEPSBL standings in recent seasons. The Big Red finished 9-11 in 2026.
Hicks has experience in the travel ball world, coaching with the New England Stampede and Mass Athletics AAU Baseball programs. He played at the college level at both Saint Anselm College (NCAA Division II) and Endicott College (NCAA Division III).
