Jonathan Pollard has witnessed the growth of USA Baseball firsthand. The highly successful head coach at Austin Prep joined USA Baseball in 2010.
Only a year later, he was named pitching coach for the USA Baseball Women's National Team and later the team's head coach for a couple of seasons. He recorded a 25-3 record and won a gold medal during the 2015 Pan-American Games held in Toronto, Canada.
For six years, Pollard was USA Baseball's National Team Development Program pitching coach before taking time off to be with his family after 2018. However, this past summer, as his family grew a bit older, Pollard felt it was the right time to rejoin USA Baseball. He served as a 13U/14U Athlete Development Program pitching coach and the 15U National Training Team assistant coach. Pollard also served as a scout for USA Baseball and a roving speaker with the organization.
Pollard worked with the sons of several former Major League players, including Christopher Cabrera (father Miguel), Jack Kinsler (father Ian), Joshua Pierre (father Juan), Colton Byrnes (father Eric), and Ty Glaus (father Troy).
