Hamden Hall captured its fourth straight New England Small School (Christopher F. Powers Division) crown on Friday, slipping past Hopkins School 4-3 at Murren Family Field at DiBenedetto Stadium on the campus of Trinity College.
Hamden Hall (16-8) defeated St. Paul's School (7-3) and St. Luke's School (7-6) in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds, respectively, to reach the title tilt.
"Pitching kept us in every game,'' said sixth-year head coach Brad Chernovetz. "Three games in one week in a tournament atmosphere is difficult for your staff. We were well-rested going into the tournament. Our top four hitters carried us all year, and that was no different in these three games."
The top four hitters included UConn commit Amato Civitello '26, Jey Scanlon '27, Billy Cole '26, and UConn commit Logan Charboneau '25. Hamden Hall's top two pitchers were Rhode Island commit Nick Scillia '26, and AJ Park '27.
