WRENTHAM, Mass. — King Philip gave Bridgewater-Raynham an inch, and the Trojans took a mile.
B-R was in the driver's seat after Cam Knudsen took two bags on an error, and Ty Strausbaugh reached on a fielder's choice with no outs in the bottom of the first. After a sacrifice bunt and a walk, Ryan Mahoney laced a bases-loaded single to shallow left field to drive in Knudsen and Strausbaugh for a 2-0 lead.
The Trojans never looked back en route to the win, improving to 6-2 with their fourth straight win. Liam Spry earned the win, striking out seven across five three-hit innings. Max Jackson picked up the save with five strikeouts in two innings of work.
Jacoby Cady went the distance for the Warriors, who fell to 6-2, striking out six and giving up one earned run on two hits.
KP had chances to get on the board, including in in the top of the fourth when Thomas Lutfy tried to steal home on a passed ball. But Jake Spearin recovered quickly and flipped to Spry, who got the tag on Lutfy for the out to end the inning.
