It’s anyone’s year for the taking when the Maine Principals’ Association (MPA) baseball season gets underway.
The field looks to be that wide-open this season after a handful of teams are looking to undergo a speedy retool after some significant roster turnover from last spring.
But don’t be mistaken. There is some serious talent sprinkled throughout the landscape this spring, headlining a handful of preseason contenders. Biddeford lost seven starting seniors from its state title, but returns star pitcher Ernie Dore IV. Robbie Hanscom, one of the top bats in the state, will elevate York from the first pitch next week.
This top 10 will likely be thrown into a blender throughout the season as teams emerge from the pack. But here is where things currently stand as the Maine high school baseball season prepares to get underway.
