The Connecticut high school baseball season starts on Saturday, and the CIAC is wasting no time.
Opening Day will feature, among other games, a Central Connecticut Conference contest featuring Glastonbury and Hall, a matchup between one of the best staffs in the state (Trumbull) and one of the best lineups (Fairfield Prep) and a bona fide showdown between Lyman Hall and Fairfield-Warde, two outfits with a legitimate argument to be our preseason No. 1 team.
Suffice it to say, these rankings could look quite a bit different when they’re updated in two weeks. But before the arms race in Connecticut begins, what does the CIAC hierarchy look like? And after South Windsor, Glastonbury and St. Joseph took home the 2025 Class LL, L and M titles, respectively, who is favored to assume the throne in 2026?
