BOSTON — It was better late than never for BC High.
Tied with Braintree in the bottom of the sixth, Max Bohane lined a double down the left field line to drive in Brody Beale and give BC High the lead. After Ben Peruzzi walked, Alex Hernandez blew the game open with a bases-clearing triple before Max Ryan added an RBI knock for good measure, making it a 5-1 lead.
The No. 1 Eagles never looked back as Anthony Dufour escaped a jam in the top of the seventh to preserve the win.
Ryan finished 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a stolen base, while Dufour picked up the win with two one-hit, shutout innings of relief, striking out two. Matt Reardon got the start for BC High (20-2), tossing five three-hit innings of one-run ball with three strikeouts and a walk.
