FRANKLIN, Mass. — It was all Taunton from the start.
The No. 7 Tigers jumped all over No. 5 Franklin, hanging seven runs on the board across the first two innings before tacking on seven more over the final two innings en route to a 14-5 rout.
Corbin Melo went 2-for-4 with a triple, six RBIs and a run, while six other batters picked up at least an RBI for Taunton (13-5), which has won six straight, following a five-game skid. Eddy Travers picked up the win on the mound.
Joe Goguen went 3-for-3 for Franklin (10-5), which has dropped four of its last five. Ethan Edmunds started on the mound for the Panthers.
