Two weeks ago, the first update to our CIAC rankings featured a major shake-up within the Top 4. We crowned a new No. 1 team, dropped a team from No. 1 to No. 3, and welcomed a new team into the group at No. 4.
Now, the second update to our Connecticut baseball rankings is defined by just the opposite — there isn’t a single change within the top four, because all four teams are undefeated over the last 14 days.
Lyman Hall, Fairfield Prep, Fairfield-Warde, and Trumbull are all holding serve, and though there’s a fair amount of chaos below them, the top tier of the CIAC is establishing itself as the season heads into its second half.
