Last spring’s MIAA baseball season was not short on contenders or talent.
Only one of five divisions went chalk in the postseason. Several teams made Cinderella runs.
In Division 1, it came down to the Nos. 8 and 14 seeds for the title, with 14th-seeded Chelmsford winning it all. In D3, it was between the ninth and 11th seeds as No. 9 North Reading took the crown. The other defending champs include Walpole (D2), Millbury (D4) and Pioneer Valley (D5).
This season figures to feature a deep slate once again. Our preseason top 10 features plenty of usual suspects from the Catholic Conference, Hockomock League, and Bay State Conference.
