After spending four standout seasons at Naugatuck High (Conn.), Kevin Cestari made the bold decision to put his college plans on hold by enrolling at Taft School as a post-graduate this fall.
During his time at Naugatuck, Cestari was a two-sport student-athlete. That has not changed at Taft, as he is a starting inside linebacker on the Rhinos football team, and will pitch and play corner infield this spring on the baseball squad.
Cestari's reasoning for doing a PG year centered more around growing as a student, an athlete, and a young adult.
"I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to attend Taft throughout last summer because of (Rhinos head baseball coach) Mike Mastrocola and (Rhinos head football coach) Tyler Whitley,'' said Cestari. "Players made me feel welcomed immediately, and the winning culture they have built made the decision easy.''
