Nate Kesselmark chose St. Luke's School (New Canaan, Conn.) as his chosen prep school three years ago, and it has paid dividends ever since.
"I felt like something was missing at my previous school,'' said Kesselmark, a native of Weston, Conn. "My family and I decided to make the move to St. Luke's because of their academic support and the ability to teach leadership.''
As a junior this spring, Kesselmark had a breakout season as a right-handed pitcher. Standing 6-foot-3, 168 pounds, Kesselmark was superb on the bump, pitching 34.2 innings while running his record to 5-0, with 50 strikeouts and a 1.81 ERA. When not pitching, Kesselmark plays shortstop.
"Nate is someone who leads by example with his commitment to hard work,'' Storm head coach Sam Colon said. "His versatility and pure athleticism make him a force on the field, on the mound, and at the plate. He has shown progress every year and comes back each season, bigger, stronger, and faster."
