The MIAA D1 Tournament is down to the Final Four, with St. John's Shrewsbury, King Philip, Braintree, and Chelmsford still standing.
The field will be narrowed down to two finalists on June 11, after a double-header at LeLacheur Park in Lowell. No. 4 King Philip will be the home team against No. 8 Braintree at 4 p.m. No. 2 St. John's Shrewsbury will play host to No. 14 Chelmsford at 7 p.m.
The common theme among D1 semifinalists is that each team's ace has already pitched two of three tournament games, so the No. 2 starters will likely take the mound in the semifinals. Who has the most depth on the mound? That may determine the two finalists.
Here's a scouting report for each of the Final Four teams.
