Brendan Morrissey first met Jacob McNeil when the latter was playing travel baseball during his pre-teen years.
McNeil has been a fixture on the Milton Academy campus since the fourth grade, gradually making exceptional strides in the classroom and on the baseball diamond. Morrissey came over to Milton Academy from Milton High in the fall of 2023, and his admiration for McNeil has only grown since.
"He has always been a terrific person, and it's nice to see the young man he has turned into," Morrissey said. "Baseball-wise, he plays the game the right way, and his ability speaks for itself.''
An outfielder this past season, the Roslindale, Mass., native batted .367, with a .500 OBP, .949 OPS, and swiped 12 bases.
